Just finished putting the VR200 together. First time I used it at home. It glides very smoothly. I love the large amount of air that blows on your body and cools you as you row. These are the two reasons I picked this one after trying more expensive models from various manufacturers. For you short people, I’m only 5’2” and it fits me well.

The VR 200 is light and compact, and is a good addition to our garage gym. It provides a good cardio workout. It is smooth during rowing and it makes for a good workout. A backlit display would have been nice. Assembling the rower was hard since the different bolts didn't have pictures.

I bought the vr200 about 7-8 years ago because my son had gotten into rowing. He definitely wasn’t gentle on it by any means. I use the same rower 3-4 times a week. There is nothing broken on it and is in good condition. This is an awesome machine that has been made to last.

I have had two operations on my left knee (one at 18, the second at 50), leaving me with no cartilage (down to bone on bone). My surgeon said that the next operation will be a full knee replacement (he thought I would need it at 55; I am now 61). While shopping for home fitness equipment, I tried every stationary bike in the store, and every one induced pain in my knee. Using the VR200 rowing machine strengthens the muscles in my legs (and arms and upper body) but leaves me pain free. It will thus help me to put off the knee replacement surgery, and will no doubt help during recovery from the surgery when (or if?) I have to undergo it.

I bought this rower about 2 years ago and it has been an essential part of my exercise plan. When I wasn't able to run on a treadmill, I could still use this rowing machine to get in my cardio. The VR200 is built like a rock and really stands up to any of the other rowers I've tried at the gym. Solid purchase, even 2 years later!

Recently got this VR200 Rowing Machine and it has been awesome. It was easy to assemble and the ability for it to fold up is perfect for storage. Easy to use and makes for a good workout in a short time.

I've only had this machine for a couple of days, but so far I love it. It has everything you need in a rowing machine, without all the expensive (and unnecessary) bells & whistles. It has 8 levels of resistance, which seems more than enough (I set it to 4 for my first workout and it was perfect). I was able to fit the box (un-assembled) into the trunk of my Civic with the seats folded down, so you don't need a pickup truck or large vehicle to transport it. It was easy to get home and assemble myself in about 60 minutes. The directions aren't the best, but assembly is pretty intuitive and it comes with a standard wrench and an allen wrench/phillips screwdriver tool, which is all you need (no need to drag out your own toolbox). The machine does make a fair amount of "fan" noise when using, but the cool air keeps you from getting too hot during your workout. It's also easy to fold up and move around. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm glad I spent the extra money instead of settling for the inferior quality of a cheaper machine.
